LasIR | |
| For measuring a single species of gas. Gases absorb at certain, very specific frequencies in the IR spectrum, from about 2 to 5um. The radiation from an IR source is passed through the sample gas. The component of interest absorbs some of this radiation, the amount absorbed is a function of the concentration. The Unisearch Associates' design uses a laser diode which is:

Unisearch Assocates Inc., founded in 1980, is a world-leader in the use of Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) for gas measurements; a position which it still enjoys today. In 1995 it acquired advanced FTIR technology. A number of systems have been developed and installed for fence-line monitoring, and for extractive CEM and process control.
Unisearch maintains a strong R and D focus to retain its leadership in existing products and to develop new product lines.
It is based in Ontario, Canada
